I am spending time just listening for a whisper ... listening to my spirit inside, that soft connection to the universe. How can I help my healing process?
Once I have quieted my thoughts enough, I hear it. "Go outside" it says! "enjoy the sunshine"!
We all must take good care of our spirits. One aspect to that is sunshine and vitamin D! I've heard we have to actually expose our skin to the sun to truly reap it's benefits...which area will I reveal? Perhaps my white pasty legs!
Weekends + sunshine = healing. A chance for a walk ~ work in the garden ~ play with someone fun ~ visit a friend who's sick ~ bring some branches inside ~ open all the windows ~ make a fresh colorful salad ~ paint an old table.
In the evenings I will journal, do a small art project involving my sewing machine and birds, drink champagne, listen to Tami Brigg's harp music and then rest.
Please post a comment and let me know: How will you spend your weekend?

Hello, what a beautiful post! So inspiring! We wish you a beautiful weekend. *hugs* This weekend, Saturday is my husband Linus's 24th birthday, so we are celebrating :-) He choose for his birthday to stay in and cwtch (welsh for cuddle or hugs) all day so that is what we are doing. I am so looking forward to giving him his gifts too. Birthdays can have some challenges but this is a gentle one and will be so lovely. On sunday we have our day as we do every sunday. It is a day set aside just for us, no appointments, phonecalls, doctors , O.Ts (occupational therapists), anything, just us and we can do anything we like. This is partially inspired by dear Callie at Basic Missions basicmissions.com on reclaiming the sabbath. Having a day of peace and reflection... http://basicmissions.com/?p=25
ReplyDeletealso inspired by a book by Cory Silverburg, because of my pain levels and fatigue, even just resting together and cwtching is painful, so I don't expect to be well enough for it spontaneously. we set aside time, pace towards it and then I am more able to enjoy the time. I don't know what we will be doing yet, but if I am very well then maybe sitting in the garden for a few minutes could be possible! *fingers crossed*
Thank you for your lovely post and your gorgeous weekend, wishing you all the best and healing enjoyment,
Grace and Linus, Wales, U.K
